Mysuru: Karnataka Yoga Shikshakara Okkuta will be organising its 3rd State-level Yoga Convention at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall on June 28, said Okkuta Working President Dr. S.P. Yoganna.
Addressing the media persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan, here yesterday, he said that the convention will be held from 9 am to 7 pm during which the benefits of Indian ancient yoga will be discussed in the background of modern medical science during the seminars presided by senior Yoga scholar Dr. B.N.S. Iyengar.
The convention will be inaugurated by Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji, Junior Pontiff of Avadhoota Datta Peetham. Legislators T.S. Srivatsa, Dr. D. Thimmaiah and C.N. Manjegowda, BJP leader Kaveesh Gowda, writer K. Leela Prakash, Prof. Ramachandra G. Bhat and Dr. K.L. Shankara Narayana Jois will be the chief guests.
Dr. Ramesh Shetty, K.G. Devaraj, B.P. Murthy, N. Anantha and Harshavardhan were present.
