State-Level PU Tennis Tournament: Mysuru District emerge champs

Mysore District Pre-University Boys Tennis Team won the State Level Tennis Tournament conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education at the KSLTA Courts, Cubbon Park in Bengaluru recently beating Dharwad District 2-0 in the final and clinched the title. Mysore District's PU team members G. Manish, Eshwar Shasidhar, Fardeen and Ashrith will represent Karnataka State PU Boys Men's Team in the National Meet to be held in Delhi next month. In the final, Mysuru beat Dharwad 2-0. G. Manish beat Suresh 8-1 in the singles, while in the doubles G. Manish and Eshwar Shasidhar combined well to beat Suresh and Gaurav 8-0 to clinch the title. Earlier in the semi-finals, Mysuru beat Bangalore South 2-1 to enter the title round. In the first singles, G. Manish scored a 9-7 win over Rajnesh Bhandari. In the doubles, G. Manish and Eshwar Shasidhar went down to Rajnesh Bhandari & Pardeep Singh 5-9. In the deciding singles, Eshawar Shasidhar beat Pardeep Singh 9-4 and helped Mysuru enter the title round.
