Mysore/Mysuru: The State Health Department officials have warned the private diagnostic laboratories against commercially exploiting the general public while conducting Covid-19 tests.
Following reports of large scale violation by private labs while charging Coronavirus testing fee, State Health Department officials have issued a warning stating that if private laboratories charge more than the prescribed limit, the Government will initiate legal action against them. This warning issued by the Government officials comes in the wake of complaints that private labs are charging exorbitant prices for testing which is much higher than prescribed amount of Rs. 4,500 set up by the State Government.
