Mysuru: The State Cabinet will shortly take up the Kurubarahalli Survey No. 4 and Alanahalli Survey No. 41 land row which has been lingering for several years. Chief Minister Siddharamaiah, who recently held a meeting with Urban Development, Revenue and Mysuru District in-charge Ministers, Departmental Secretaries, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner (DC) and K.R. MLA M.K. Somashekar, had directed the authorities to take measures for facilitating property owners in MUDA-formed layouts coming under the two Survey numbers, to transact in respect of their properties. The CM's meeting discussed the DC's report on facilitating khata registration and transfer, sale, sale deed, map approval etc., in respect of MUDA-formed layouts — Siddarthanagar, K.C. Layout, Vidyanagar, Alanahalli and Income Tax Layout coming under the two Survey Numbers. The previous DC's report declaring that the land under Kurubarahalli Survey No. 4 and Alanahalli Survey No. 41 was 'B' Kharab land, had posed a lot of problems for the residents of the localities. But based on the report of the current DC, the government had directed the Revenue Department officials to seek legal opinion from the Advocate General and also to bring the matter to the notice of the Court. Accordingly, the Revenue Department sought the opinion of the Legal Department, following which the Department began preparations to table the issue before the State Cabinet for taking an appropriate decision. DC D. Randeep, speaking to Star of Mysore, said that he has already submitted a report on the issue to the government and the district administration presented all additional information at the high-level meeting held in Bengaluru recently. He added that the district administration had no further role in resolving the long-pending land row.
