Case: B.S. Vishwanath, residing at 78/4, Govindappa Road, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, had sought over seven informations on Mar.15, 2016 regarding details of land with survey number 10/96-97 / 8-8-1996. When he failed to get the needed details, Vishwanath had filed a petition against Tahsildar Nagesh with the Appellate Tribunal. When everything proved futile, Vishwanath was said to have knocked the doors of Karnataka Information Commission. As the Tahsildar reportedly failed to provide information and remained absent for the hearing, he was fined Rs. 10,000 on Feb. 26, 2019 by the Commission.
