The District Administration, Kannada and Culture Department and Krishna Jayanti Celebration Committee have jointly organised Sri Krishna Jayanti programme at Kalamandira premises in city on Sept. 6 at 11.30 am. District in-charge Minister Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the event. MLA K. Harishgowda will preside.
Mayor Shivakumar, MPs PratapSimha, V. Sreenivasa Prasad and SumalathaAmbarish will be the chief guests. Animal Husbandry and Sericulture Minister K. Venkatesh, MLAs, MLCs and others will be present. Sanskrit Scholar Anantha Krishna Jois will be the main speaker on the occasion, according to a press release from Kannada and Culture Assistant Director Dr. M. D. Sudarshan.
