To prevent untoward incidents during Sri Huliyamma Jathra at Kyathamaranahalli, DC D. Randeep has banned the sale, supply and transportation of liquor at Kyathamaranahalli and sensitive areas in its surroundings from 6 am on Mar. 13 to the midnight of Mar. 15. The DC has also ordered closure of all types of liquor shops, clubs, star hotels, boarding and lodging establishments, canteen stores, bar and restaurants, MSIL outlets and KSBCL units in the vicinity and has declared ‘Anti-Liquor Day’ during the Jathra days.
