The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, under Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) of Prime Minister’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, has started providing special loan facility to help those beneficiaries (farmer producer organisations, private companies and individual entrepreneurs) who are intending to invest or establish dairy, meat processing or value addition infrastructure units such ice- cream plant, cheese-making plant, milk powder manufacturing unit, value added products from sheep, goat, pig, chicken and buffalo meat as well as processing plant, animal feed production units, related laboratories and establishment of enriched animal silage making (mini, medium or large scale) units.
The eligible beneficiaries would get special loan facility from nationalised banks. For details, interested candidates can contact Veterinary Hospital Deputy Director in their respective taluks, according to a release.
