The Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore, will be conducting the South Zone Inter-University Kho-Kho Tournament for Women from Oct. 4 to 7 here. Around 60 University teams from South Zone will be taking part in the Tournament which will be played on a knock-out-cum-league basis. The matches will be played at the University Grounds, Sports Pavilion. University of Calicut, the defending champion, Anna University, Chennai (runner-up), University of Mysore (3rd place winner) and University of Kerala (4th place) during 2016-17, have been directly seeded into the quarter-finals. The Tournament will be inaugurated by MLA Vasu in the presence of University of Mysore Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dayananda Mane, Arjuna Awardee Shobha Narayan and University of Mysore Registrar D. Bharathi at the University Grounds at 8.30 am tomorrow (Oct. 4).
