The four-day South Zone Inter-University Kho Kho Tournament for women 2017 conducted by the Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore, got off to a rousing start at the University Sports Pavilion grounds here, this morning. The tournament was inaugurated by MLA Vasu, Acting VC Prof. Dayanand Mane, Arjuna Awardee Shobha Narayan, University of Mysore D. Bharathi by releasing the balloons. Former Mysore University women's kho-kho players who had won medals during 1995-96 & 2003-04 Inter- University championships - K.N. Anuradha, D.K. Kanthamma, N. Chandramma, Lathamani, K.R. Shashikala, M. Latha, K.S. Sukrutha, S. Nandushree, N. Nagamani, M. Mamatha Rani, K.M. Sunitha, Sowmya, K.J. Swetha and R. Bhavyashree were felicitated by the orgainsers. The organisers also felicitated Prof. Seshanna on the occasion.
