Inspiring all-round performance by Gowtham Sagar (four for 27 & 59 n.o.) and good batting by Kishan S. Bedare (29 n.o.), enabled University of Mysore to register a facile seven wicket win over Hindustan IT & S, Chennai and enter the final in the South-Zone Inter-University Men's Cricket Tournament played at Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE) in Shivamogga yesterday.
Batting first, Hindustani IT & S, Chennai, were bowled out for 113 in 33.4 overs by University of Mysore's bowlers. Gowtham Sagar (four for 27) was the most successful bowler and he was ably supported by medium-pacers K. Shashank (2 for 13) and B.S. Yodhan Hrudhay (2 for 22).
