Opening batsman Sudhanwa Kulkarni slammed the first century of the Tournament (119 n.o., 71b, 18x1, 1x6) and his first wicket partnership of 196-runs with fellow opener Roshan M. Javali (83, 49b, 10x4, 2x6), helped Karnatak University, Dharwad, to register a big 169-run win over Saveetha Institute of Medical And Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, in the second round of the South Zone Inter-University Men's Cricket Tournament 2019-20, conducted by University of Mysore (UoM) at the JSS (M) College Grounds here yesterday.
SIMATS won the toss and elected to bowl first and their bowlers were taken to task by the Karnatak University opening batsman Sudhanwa Kulkarni (119 n.o.) and Roshan M. Javali (83), which enabled their team to score 229/1 in 20 overs.
