Mysore/Mysuru: With deadline for filing of nomination papers for the Legislative Council polls from South Graduates Constituency having ended yesterday (May 26), a total of 20 candidates have filed their nominations. The South Graduates Constituency comprises Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Mandya districts.
Those who have filed their nomination papers are M.V. Ravishankar of the BJP, Madhu G. Madegowda of the Congress, H.K. Ramu of the JD(S), Dr. B.H. Channakeshavamurthy of the BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party), Prasanna N. Gowda supported by KRRS, DSS and AAP, Rafat Ulla of SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India), Vatal Nagaraj of Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha and N. Veerabhadraswamy of RPI (Republican Party of India). Also, N.S. Vinay, Dr. J. Arun Kumar, Puttaswamy, Dr. J.C. Ravindra, C. Kavyashri, M. Mahesh, Veerabhadraswamy, N. Rajendra Singh Babu, H.P. Sujatha, Amjad Khan, K.P. Prasanna Kumar and Dr. H.L. Venkatesh have filed their nominations as independent candidates.
