Society elections cancelled

With 11 Directors of the city’s Gayathri Souharda Credit Co-operative Society having been elected unopposed for the term 2026-31, the election to the Board of Directors of the Society, which was scheduled to take place on Feb. 14, stands cancelled, according to a press release. The following were elected unopposed as Directors of the Society — H.V. Rajeev, K.R. Satyanarayan, K.R. Manjunath, H.S. Srikanta Sharma, V. Venkatesh and K.R. Udaykumar, all from General category, Renuka Vishwanath and Anusuya Chandrashekar from women reserved seats, V. Tejaraj and Shivakumar from Backward Class Category — A seats and B.T. Ramachandra from SC reserved seat. The ST category reserved seat remains vacant.
