Mysuru: The N.R., Vijayanagar and Metagalli Police have arrested a total of six foreign nationals who were found overstaying in city despite expiry of their visas. While N.R. Police have arrested two persons identified as Abdiwadud Mohamed Abdi of Somalia and Justus Okuku Okumu of Kenya, Vijayanagar Police have arrested Evance Damasi Mlay and Atupele Friday Mwakyusa of Tanzania and Ivan Salomao Simbine of Mozambique and Metagalli Police have arrested Wilhelm Shalongo Shapange of Namibia. The Police, who have booked them under the Registration of Foreigners Act, 1939, said that the arrested had obtained student visas and were residing illegally even after the expiry of their visas. Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao has urged the owners, who provide accommodation to foreigners to submit details of the foreigners staying in their accommodation to the Police or upload the details by logging on to indianfrro.gov.in/fro/formC.
