Mysuru: The MUDA, already entangled in controversies over illegal site allotments under the 50:50 scheme, is now facing criticism from the general public and sports achievers who have been waiting for years for site allotments.
At a press conference held at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city recently, International Chess Coach A.P. Ajit revealed that MUDA had invited applications from 188 sports achievers in 2023 for sites in Devanur Layout 3rd Stage. Applicants, including Ajit, paid 10 percent of the total site price — Rs. 2.9 lakh for a 60x40 site — 22 months ago, only to be left waiting without any progress.
