The Zilla Panchayat (ZP) and the Office of the Deputy Director of Sericulture have invited applications from the progressive sericulture farmers for presentation of ‘Sericulture Award’. Applicants must have grown Hippunerale in one acre land and must have their own worm farming house. The average cocoon yield per 100 eggs must not be less than 65 kg. One acre cocoon yield must not be less than 500 kg. Interested must submit their applications along with their Sericulture Pass Book, details of selling of cocoons and other necessary details to their respective Sericulture Department’s Extension Officer or Assistant Director before Oct. 15, according to a press release from the Sericulture Department Deputy Director S.K. Manjula.
