Mysuru: With effect from May 1, 2017, a new Act called Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 is coming into force. The Act seeks to protect home-buyers as well as help to boost the investments in the real estate industry.
The Act makes it mandatory for all commercial and residential real estate projects where the land is more than 500 square meters or eight apartments to register with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) for launching a project.
