The AYUSH Department of Suyog Hospital, Ramakrishnagar, in association with Mysuru Yoga Federation, will be holding a seminar on “A Scientific View of Yoga” at the Hospital premises at 9.30 am on June 30 (Sunday). MP Pratap Simha will inaugurate the event. Bengaluru’s S. Vyasa Yoga University Vice-Chancellor Dr. B.R. Ramakrishna will deliver the keynote address. JSS Medical College Principal Dr. H. Basavanagoudappa will preside. The seminar will begin with Yoga expert Dr. A.S. Chandrashekar delivering a talk on “Yoga’s history and different forms of Yoga”, followed by a talk on “A Scientific View on Yoga and Spiritual Health” by Suyog Hospital Chairman Dr. S.P. Yoganna at 12 noon and on ‘Yoga’ by Medical writer Dr. N. Someshwara at 1 pm. This will be followed by an interaction, in which Mysuru Academy of Yoga Founder Ramesh Kumar, Dr. Aparna Surendra, V. Somashekar and B. Shantharam will take part. Sri Pathanjala Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Prathistana Founder Venkateshaiah will deliver valedictory address.
