Mysuru: The two-day National Workshop on ‘Use of Music in the Education of Children with Special Needs’ organised by the Department of Special Education, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru was inaugurated at the Seminar Hall in the Academic Block of AIISH here this morning. Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji, Junior Pontiff of Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysuru, who was the chief guest inaugurated the workshop. AIISH Director Dr. S.R. Savithri, presided. The Swamiji, in his inaugural address said, “Music can do miracles and it also helps in controlling our mind and anger as music is pure and has no element of religion attached to it.”
