Mysore/Mysuru: Urging to make jobs of outsources Pourakarmikas, UGD Assistants and drivers of garbage transport vehicles permanent, the Pourakarmika Mahasangha of Karnataka State Corporation, City Municipal Council and Town Municipal Council will be staging a symbolic protest in front of the offices of all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in the State tomorrow (May 19), said Mahasangha State President and former Mayor Narayan.

Addressing a press meet in city yesterday, Narayan said that there are 38,000 people including UGD Assistants, Contract Pourakarmikas and drivers of garbage transport vehicles working in various Civic Bodies across the State and added that the protest is being held to make these workers permanent.
