Mysuru: Heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed Mysuru and surrounding areas last night in what was the first spell of rain of the year. The downpour continued for about half-an-hour and in some areas, it rained for more than one-and-a-half hours.
Heavy rain was witnessed in the heart of the city like Mysore Palace, K.R. Circle, Vidyaranyapuram, Ramakrishnanagar, Sharadadevinagar, Bogadi Second Stage, Raghavendra Nagar, Agrahara, N.R. Mohalla, Vijayanagar, Jayalakshmipuram, Mahadeshwara Layout, Chamundipuram, Yadavagiri, Saraswathipuram, Lakshmipuram, Chamarajapuram, Hebbal, Brindavan Extension and surrounding areas. Vehicles navigated through the flooded road following heavy showers.
