The Department of Social Welfare has revised the family annual income limit from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh for the SC/ST students to avail pre-metric scholarship from Class 1 to 8. The Day-scholar pre-metric scholarship has also been revised to 1 std. to 5th std. from Rs. 750 to Rs. 1,000 (boys) and Rs. 850 to Rs. 1,100 (girls); Rs. 900 to Rs. 1,150 (boys) and Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,250 (girls) studying in Class 6 and Class 7; Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,250 (boys) and Rs. 1,100 to Rs. 1,350 (girls) studying in Class 8.
