Bengaluru: It’s now official. The 49 proposed new Taluks will come into existence from January 2018. The State government on Thursday issued an order for carving out the new Taluks including Saragur in Mysuru near Heggadadevanakote (H.D. Kote) and Hanur in Chamarajanagar.
The order states that the Revenue Department will coordinate with the Finance Department to open the offices required for the new Taluks. The State Cabinet, last month, had given its approval for carving out the new Taluks. The Deputy Commissioners had been directed to finalise the boundaries of the new Taluks coming under their jurisdiction.
