Mysuru: NPS International School, Mysore, in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, hosted its first-ever Sanskriti Sangam, an initiative aimed at celebrating India’s vibrant cultural heritage on June 13.
The inaugural edition was a grand tribute to Karnataka’s traditional performing arts, with a captivating Yakshagana performance titled ‘Seetha Apaharana’ presented by Keremane Shivananda Hegde and his talented artistes from UNESCO-recognised Sri Idagunji Mahaganapathi Yakshagana Mandali, Keremane. The performance was a rich blend of mythology, music, dance and theatre, vividly bringing alive the abduction of Sita from the epic Ramayana.
