Suttur: Sanskrit means sacred, said retired Principal of Marimallappa’s PU College Dr. B.S. Parvatharaju. He was speaking after distributing Sanskrit Vidwat Madhyama degree certificates to students on the occasion of Guru Purnima organised at Suttur on Friday. “A wooden log turns into a beautiful sculpture and becomes sacred. We should feel proud about Sanskrit that is one of the oldest languages in the world which belongs to our motherland India,” he added.

Curator of Suttur JSS Museum K. Venkateshwara Rao, who presided over the event, said that one should not forget school and teachers.
