Bengaluru: In a major initiative, State Transport Department will be cracking a whip on two-wheeler riders with children as pillion, if they don’t adhere to safety rules. It is mandatory for the children below the age group of 4 years to wear safety harness, while riding pillion.
Any violation on the part of two-wheeler riders will be strictly dealt, by imposing a fine of Rs. 1,000 on the parents for not securing their kids with safety harness.
