As a sign of good omen to the royal family, two cows in the cow shed of Mysore Palace gave birth to two calves on Vijayadashami day. The birth is considered auspicious because one of the cows is the Pattada Hasu which has given birth. According to the priests in the Mysore Palace, these cows giving birth to two calves on Monday (Oct. 22nd) soon after the double blow with two deaths, augurs well for the royal family during the Vijayadashami celebrations.
