Mysuru: Rotary Mysore North in association with Sharana Sahitya Parishat had organised Rotary District Conference at JSS Women’s College auditorium in Saraswathipuram here this morning. Inaugurating the conference, former Governor A. Rama Jois pointed out that ‘Dharma’ was a sacred term which should not be translated as religion. He averred that ‘Dharma’ was essential to fight evil thoughts in a person. He recalled that the great social reformer Basavanna ages ago had stressed the importance of ‘Antharanga Shuddi’ or cleansing the inner self. He observed that ‘Dharma’ was essential to fight crime to uphold humility.
