Opener B. Dheemanth (59, 6x4) and M. Venkatesh (50, 40b, 3x4, 2x6), helped University of Mysore (UoM) to register a 28-run win over Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, UP and enter final in Rohinton Baria Trophy All India Inter-University Cricket 2018-19, conducted by KIIT, Bhubaneswar, at their Grounds yesterday.
In the final, UoM will meet Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. Incidentally, UoM had won the Rohinton Baria All India Inter-University Cricket title in 1950-51, 1951-52, 1961-62 and emerged runner-up in 1939-40. In 2004-05 UoM had secured the fourth place.
