As per the Karnataka Gazette Notification, all the Drawing and Disbursing Officers of the Government Offices, Employers, Local Authority, Companies, Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies, Educational Institutions, etc., who are liable to deduct Profession Tax (PT) from the salary of February 2026 payable to their employees, shall deduct PT of Rs.300 instead of Rs. 200. This is applicable from the salary of February month ONLY.
