Mysuru: State Government has approved the construction of retaining wall around Kapila River at a cost of Rs. 70 crore and also for establishing Trauma Care Centre at a cost of Rs. 10 crore at Nanjangud Taluk Hospital, said MLA Darshan Dhruvanaryan.
Speaking to media persons in Nanjangud yesterday, Darshan said the retaining wall will be constructed to prevent flooding near Srikanteshwara Temple and surrounding residential areas and submerging of Sri Parashurama Temple on increase of water level in the river.
