Mysuru: Mandya District Police have emerged Overall Champions at the two-day Range-level Police Duty Meet-2017 of Southern Range held at Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) in city. The competitions were held in 21 events which were divided in various categories such as fingerprint detection, forensic science, bomb detection, computer awareness, photography and videography among others. The best performers will take part in the State and National-level Police Meets scheduled to be held in December, 2017 and January, 2018 respectively. Mandya District Police team won 17 medals and bagged the Overall Championship. Mysuru City Police bagged 11 medals and bagged the runners-up position, while Kodagu Police, with nine medals stood third. Chamarajanagar Police stood fourth with eight medals, while Hassan and Mysuru District Police with seven medals each stood fifth.
