Mysuru: District Minister V. Somanna has maintained that K.R. MLA and former Minister S.A. Ramdas played a keyrole in the Centre’s decision to scrap the minimum educational requirement of a pass in eight standard for issuance of Driving License (DL).
He was speaking after inaugurating the mass Driving License registration drive organised jointly by the Transport Department, Bharat Informal Workers Initiative (BHIWI), an NGO and several Auto and Taxi Driver Unions, as part of Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s birthday celebration at Dasara Exhibition Ground here yesterday.
