Mysore/Mysuru: Maintaining that it was former Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde who first turned to resort politics for saving Democracy, Senior Journalist Krishna Prasad said it is wrong on our part to assume that senior Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar (now KPCC President) is the first politician of the State to have introduced resort politics.
He was speaking at ‘Mareyalagada Mahaniyaru — Hiriya Rajakeeya Mutsaddi Ramakrishna Hegde — Ondu Nenapu,’ a commemoration programme marking the 17th death anniversary of the former Chief Minister, organised jointly by District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Dr. K.S. Gowdaiah Pratishtana at the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Bhavan in Vijayanagar first stage here on Thursday.
