Ursu Jagruti Charitable Trust has organised Punyasmarane of former Chief Minister late D. Devaraj Urs at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road in city on Oct. 30 at 10.30 am. MLA Tanveer Sait will inaugurate the programme. Trust President Dr. D. Thimmaiah will preside. Former Mysore University Syndicate Member H.A. Venkatesh will offer floral tribute to the portrait of Urs.
On the occasion, the following achievers will be conferred with ‘Dhwani Kotta Dani’ award: Folk scholar Dr. P.K. Rajashekar, MUDA Superintending Engineer Shankar, Kanteerava Studio former President Vijayalakshmi Urs, Mysore University Asst. Executive Engineer Shivalinga Prasad, industrialist B.P. Udayraje Urs and Srirangapatna Town Municipal Council Member M. Nandish.
