Bengaluru: Actor Puneeth Rajkumar has followed in the footsteps of his late father Dr. Rajkumar as his eyes were donated. He became the third in the family to donate eyes.
Soon after Puneeth was declared dead, his brother Raghavendra Rajkumar placed a request with Dr. Rajkumar Eye Bank run by Narayana Nethralaya to collect the actor’s eyes. Dr. Rajkumar had pledged the eyes of his entire family during the inauguration of Narayana Nethralaya in Bengaluru in 1994. After his death in 2006, his wishes were fulfilled.
