Mysore/Mysuru: A student ended her life by hanging self at her house in Garudachar Layout in Vijayanagar on Friday.
The deceased student is the daughter of a former Corporator and was pursuing her 1st PUC at a private college in Vijayanagar in city.
On Friday, the girl, who went to the college, returned home and later hanged herself in her room when the family members were away. Vijayanagar Police, who reached the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary besides registering a case.
Post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members, who performed the last rites on Sunday.
