The doyen of Hindustani Classical music Pt. Indudhar Nirody is presenting a lecture-demonstration (Lec-Dem) on the “Nuances of Hindustani Classical Music” under the auspices of Raaga Music Academy on Saturday, the 18th May at Prajna Kuteera Ayurvedic Centre in Kuvempunagar at 5.30 pm.
Pt. Nirody hails from a family of musicians and was initiated to music at the age of 10 by his father Nirody Sunderrao. He learnt under Gawai Pitre Rama Rao and gave his first concert at the age of 12. After moving to Mumbai, he further trained under stalwarts like Pt. Gurudat Heblekar, Acharya SCR Bhat, Acharya KG Ginde, Pt. Dinkar Kaikini and Pt. Chidanand Nagarkar for well over two decades.
