Mysore/Mysuru: Senior folk scholar Prof. Nanjaiah Honganur took charge as the new Director of Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies (KIKS) in Manasagangothri campus here recently.
Prof. Nanjaiah earlier served as University of Mysore (UoM) Prasaranga Director. He is the 22nd Director of KIKS. He took charge from outgoing Director Prof. N.K. Lolakshi.
Prof. Nanjaiah is a native of Honganur in Yelandur taluk of Chamarajanagar district and had previously served KIKS as a faculty. He has guided 22 students to their Doctorate degree in Folklore.
