At a time when the Government is eliciting opinion from all quarters on re-opening of schools for the new academic year (2021-22), Private Schools across the State have urged the Government to allow them to reopen from Aug. 2. With Govt. ordering starting of colleges from today (July 26), Private school managements have urged the Govt. to allow re-opening of Pre-Primary, Primary and Higher Primary schools with all Govt. SOPs in place. They have also come up with a provisional and practical academic calendar and has brought it to the notice of the Government. Meanwhile, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar has said that the Government will take a decision on re-opening of schools in a couple of days.
