Mysore/Mysuru: The 39th anniversary of the Premier Open Group of The Bharat Scouts and Guides was held at Sri Jayachamarajendra Scouts and Guides District Headquarters in city recently.
The programme was inaugurated by Abdul Jameel, District Secretary, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mysuru, who delivered the inaugural address and highlighted the values, discipline, and service-oriented vision of the Scouts and Guides movement.
Ramprasad, District Organiser, Mysuru, delivered the keynote address.
On the occasion, the website of Premier Open Group, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mysuru District was launched.
The event was presided over by R.P. Chandru and P. Vishwanath, District Chief Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides. Dr. K.B. Gurumurthy, District Treasurer and Abdul Jameel, District Secretary, were present on the dais along with other dignitaries.
Sharada Raju, Founder-Member, Amruthamma, District Commissioner — Guide Cub Wing and Pushpavalli, District Commissioner — Guide, were present.
As part of the programme, A.M. Shankar, G.S. Ravishankar, R.G. Girish, P. Chandru, B.G. Vishnuprasad, M.R. Sukhesh and Vasishta were honoured for their service and contributions to the Scouts and Guides movement.
