The Social Welfare Department has invited applications from children of parents who are engaged in unhygienic occupation like manual scavenging (Pourakarmika), rag picking etc., to avail pre-matric student scholarship for 2022-23.Candidates studying in 1st to 10th std. and commuting to school from their houses, will get a scholarship of Rs. 3,000 while for those studying in 3rd to 10th std. and staying in hostel (away from house) will get Rs. 8,000.
Eligible candidates must get a letter of approval from Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and Gram Panchayat Development Officer and must submit applications by logging on to https://ssp.karnataka.gov.in/.
