Bengaluru: JD(S) Supremo and former Prime Minister, H.D. Deve Gowda, has appointed his grandson Prajwal Revanna as General Secretary of the State Unit of the party. Prajwal, the son of Deve Gowda’s second son and former Minister H.D. Revanna, has been aspiring for a bigger role in the party for the past few months. He had publicly criticised the party leadership over the distribution of tickets and State of affairs in the party. According to sources, the move is seen as a push to meet the political aspiration of the former PM’s grandson. Prajwal is keen to contest from either Rajarajeshwarinagar Assembly constituency in Bengaluru or Belur in Hassan district, the sources added.
