In order to encourage its insurance policy holders, the Department of Posts has organised a special campaign for revival of discontinued polices till Mar. 31. During the campaign, the Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI), which have lapsed due to discontinuance of policy premiums payment, can be revived by payment of accrued premiums at a discounted rate. However, this discount is applicable only to defaulting policy holders who pay the balance premium amount in one go.
The defaulting postal life insurance policy holders can visit their nearest Post Office and avail the benefits of the campaign, according to G. Harish, Senior Superintendent of Posts, Mysuru Postal Division.
