Nanjangud: An awareness programme on traffic rules was held at the DySP’s office here on Sunday.
Over 300 auto drivers and owners participated in the programme which focused on overloading of students in school autorickshaws, importance of vehicle documents and ban on transporting people in goods vehicles. Presiding over the programme, DySP Mallick asked auto drivers to compulsorily carry driving licence and insurance papers in the vehicles and added that school autos should not ferry more number of students exceeding the limit prescribed by the Supreme Court.
