Mysuru: Even as the 10-day Dasara festival drew to a close, the City Police got a thumbs-up for the security arrangements for the smooth conduct of Jumboo Savari on Tuesday, marking the culmination of the festival.
Lakhs of people had thronged the entire procession route covering about 5 km, to witness the Jumboo Savari and Torchlight Parade at Bannimantap Grounds. While over 10,000 Police personnel who included 14 SPs, 54 Dy.SPs, 153 Police Inspectors, 336 Sub-Inspectors Home Guards and other Policemen, kept vigil on the events of the Dasara finale on Tuesday, the Mobile Command Centre, equipped with numerous features to monitor security deployment, was stationed outside the Palace.
