Mysuru:  High drama prevailed at a silk shop on Chamundi Hill Road this morning when officials from the Revenue Department and the Police came to seal the shop following an order issued by Tahsildar. A woman, who claimed to be the owner of the shop, allegedly threatened to commit suicide holding a knife in her hands.

The incident occurred at Kauvery Silk Udyog on Chamundi Hill Road. Mysuru Taluk Tahsildar T. Ramesh Babu had yesterday issued orders to close the shop. The Tahsildar’s order stated that a few people, who are claiming ownership over the shop, are causing tension in the area and complaints have been lodged at Nazarbad Police Station.
