The Union Government has launched ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ (PM-Kisan) scheme under which small farmers owning less than two hectares of land would be paid Rs. 6,000 annually in three instalments of Rs. 2, 000 each. The eligible farmers should register their names with Aadhaar number and land details at the nearest farmers facilitation centre, Bapuji Seva Kendra or Atalji Centre within a week. The list of beneficiaries would be announced at the respective Gram Panchayat offices, according to a press release from the District Joint Agriculture Director.
