Mysuru: A minor boy was killed on the spot, when a speeding car rammed into the bike on which he was riding pillion on the Outer Ring Road near Uthanahalli yesterday. The deceased boy is Naveen (16), son of Mahadevu and a resident of Sarkari Uthanahalli in the taluk. Naveen was standing near Hosa Hundi Gate to proceed to his village, when he saw Ravi of Helavarahundi village and stopped him. He then asked Ravi for a drop and both of them were proceeding on the Ring Road towards Uthanahalli when a speeding car coming from Bandipalya side rammed into the bike resulting in Naveen falling from the bike, sustaining severe head injuries and breathing his last at the spot. Rider Ravi, who too sustained injuries, was admitted to the hospital by the Police. Mysuru Rural Police have registered a case.
